Then, back up again.

We made it to the lava tower at 15,200 feet. It’s cold tonight … we’re sleeping here. It was a big elevation increase from Shira 2 camp!

We had a long hike through alpine desert … very barren landscape.

The team is doing well … but some minor headaches and such. Tomorrow we are off to Karranga camp at around 13,000 feet to better acclimatize. It should take us about 6-7 hours, with the Barranco Wall scramble as the challenge. Then, back up again … prayers appreciated for health and strength.
